Measuring the Tallest Mountain

Hmm.  “Mount Everest may be the tallest mountain on Earth, but that’s only if you’re measuring from sea level. Thanks to the curvature of the planet, Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador is the highest if you’re measuring from the center of the Earth. In fact, by this system, Everest comes in fifth.”  [via]
