English World Cup Satorial Statement

One thing I kept commenting on and noticed about the England-USA world cup match this past weekend was how sharp those on the English side looked.

Specifically, English superstar David Beckham (let’s be honest he looks sharp rolling out of bed) and their manager Fabio Capello.

It was a stark contrast to the look of US coach Bob Bradley, who looked like your average PeeWee soccer dad on a Saturday morning.  All he was missing was the orange slices, watered down Gatorade, and fascist-positivism.

From a fashion standpoint, why is it that American coaches in any professional sport feel like they can’t look sharp?  One thing is clear — they should be emulating the English World Cup team.  Those guys looked sharp.

If you like the look, you can purchase your own suit over at Marks and Spencer.  “As worn by the England Football Team this summer, we’ve used narrow lapels, a slightly shorter jacket and a slimmer silhouette to create a classic look with a modern twist. We’ve also used a pure wool, birdseye cloth from Alfred Brown, one of England’s premier fabric mills, to give this jacket a truly winning finish.”
