Amtrak Rail System as Tube Map

Cameron Booth has done it again: above is the Amtrak Passenger Rail System like his excellent Eisenhower USA Interstate System, done in the style of Beck’s London Underground Diagram.  A limited edition of 75 prints (36″ x 24″) of this poster is now available for purchase at $45 a pop.

“Only a few parts of the map caused me major problems: the southern end of the Northeast Corridor, where the routes branch after Alexandria; the interface between the Capitol Corridor and San Joaquin routes in California; and most of all, the sheer number of routes coming into Chicago’s Union Station,” says Booth.  [via coudal]

Ha, don't worry – I just found it on my own site, LOL. :-/

James, just wondering where you got this version of the map from? It's a little old and has a few incorrect details that have since been amended. Also, it's not watermarked at all which concerns me a bit – I always watermark the images I post on Flickr of my diagrams. Contact me via email to discuss (I can't find your email on this site).

    Regards,

    Cameron
