College Landmark List for 2009, or What’s a Card Catalogue

Beloit College, a tiny little school of about 1,350 students in Wisconsin, has released its annual Landmark List, which aims to make old people and not so very old people feel, well, older!  So picture this: “The Class of 2013 also has never known a world without the Internet, flat-screen TVs or chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, according to the study. The European Union has always been around, Margaret Thatcher has always been a former prime minister, the United Nations has had two Koreas and the KGB never officially existed.”  Most of these students have lived in a world where the United States was fighting in Iraq.
