So long Marty and Doc!

Universal Studios has pulled the plug on the “Back to the Future … The Ride”, which will happen this upcoming Labor Day Weekend.? No longer will patrons be able to ride in the famed DeLorean and have it move back and forth with the crazy movie ride.? It’s a shame to think of all these classic rides, whether from Universal or Disney or Epcot are just gone (sniff, sniff Captain Eo).

Today, however, the amusement park did something kind of cool to celebrate the impending end of this institution.? They had Doc Brown ride in on a DeLorean and set a giant countdown clock and they offered free park admission to the 100 or so DeLorean car owners out there.

At least they’re giving the ride a proper send off. ? Unlike these other decommissioned rides.? With help from The Head Researcher, we’ve compiled vidoe evidence of rides gone the way of the dinosaur.? After the jump of course.
