Word Aversion: Moist is Pretty Much the Worst Word Ever

Slate’s Matthew J.X. Malady takes a look at the phenomenon known as word aversion, where certain words — like moist, panties, or hot cocoa (sorry, Jess!) — can cause people to become disgusted and feel unpleasant simply by hearing or seeing them.

Update: It dawns on me that I wrote basically the same exact post back in 2009. Good times! Moist still sucks.
