The Booker Longlist is Out

The longlist for the 2010 Booker Prize was announced yesterday:

According to Tim, over at Baby Got Book, “of the 13 titles nominated, just over half are not available in the US (*).”  That is astounding to me in this day.  I mean, shockingly mind-blowing.  It’s almost as if I can’t compute that.  The Guardian’s analysis of the list spends more time focusing on the big names not nominated, like Martin Amis, Ian McEwan and Salmon Rushdie, before diving into who is nominated.  It can also be boiled down to “not much sex but a lot of laughs.”
