Sign of the (E-book) Times

The New York Times will begin publishing e-book best-seller lists in fiction and nonfiction beginning early next year.  “The lists will be compiled from weekly data from publishers, chain bookstores, independent booksellers and online retailers, among other sources.”  Many consider the Times to be the only best seller list that counts when it comes to book sales, and for the newspaper’s part, they’ve supposedly been cultivating a metric system for e-books for the last two years.
