I’ve never been a fan of the book mark (it seems to me to be about as uncouth as an umbrella), but I have an irrational fear and distaste for triangularly creasing the corner of a book to mark my place. It’s a necessary evil, sure, but creasing that corner leaves me feeling as if I just stabbed a person with a dull butter knife.
There aren’t many other options, however, The Book Hook shown above is the perfect solution for someone as needlessly complicated as myself. Look at that beautiful triangle that holds your place in the story. It’s as if the bookmark’s superego burst out of a block of wood. Not too shabby for $40. [via]
