Kafka was into Smut

Czech author, well deceased author, Franz Kafka is undoubtedly one of literature’s most studied writers. His darkly humorous tales of people turning into bugs for no reason, government agencies run amok, and souls in existential angst are some of my personal favorites. Surprisingly, he has remained quite contemporary. If you don’t believe me, read The Trial, about a man kidnapped and put on trial for reasons he is unaware and an tribunal that never tells him why he is on trial, only that he is. Anyway, it was recently discovered that Kafka loved to write smutty stories, as well.? ?These are not naughty postcards from the beach. They are undoubtedly porn, pure and simple. Some of it is quite dark. It?s quite unpleasant,? Times Online quoted James Hawes, the Kafka expert who discovered the material, as saying.
