WolframAlpha launched, so there’s that. (If you need catching up, here’s a screencast explanation.) It looks like fun to play with so far, but it’s hard to get a feel for it. Meaning that it works, but will it become a useful everyday answer/search destination. There’s a decent On The Media story too.

About a month ago, I told you about Wolfram Alpha, a natural language search engine currently in development. Since then, The Berkman Center at Harvard posted this video demonstration of the technology.

Just when I started to get a handle of Stephen Wolfram’s Mathematica software, the scientists/mathematician is at it again.
In May, Wolfram will unveil his latest creation, now called Wolfram Alpha. It applies his work with Mathematica and NKS (A New Kind of Science) to Web search.
